Welcome to the AFP Ozarks Region Chapter

The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) is the leading international association for fundraising professionals. Founded in 1960, the national organization of AFP serves more than 30,000 members in 227 chapters located throughout Canada, Mexico and the United States.

The Ozarks Region Chapter was founded in 2003 to meet local demand for an ethical fundraising professional organization with access to national fundraising resources.

Join over 80 AFP members, who meet the second Tuesday of each month. Members and non-members are encouraged to attend our meetings and events.

Aug 1 - Annual Giving Coordinator
The Council of Churches of the Ozarks is accepting applications for an Annual Giving Coordinator. The Annual Giving Coordinator will work directly with the fund raising staff to strategically plan the annual fund campaigns with special attention to the overall annual campaign, the Compassion Campaign, that is comprised of the annual total of funding needed for operations. This position performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with the mission and core values of the Council of Churches of the Ozarks (CCO). The Council of Churches of the Ozarks is committed to building relationships with donors and each team member plays a role in providing donors with the attention that ensures an exceptionally positive and fulfilling philanthropic experience. The Annual Giving Coordinator must develop a deep understanding of the CCO outreach services, programs and roles to serve the community to advance the mission of the overall organization. The Annual Giving Coordinator supports the various stages of gift procurement and program management for cultivating donors and donor research. It is expected to consistently demonstrate tact, good judgment, and appropriate handling of confidential information. A proactive attitude, creativity, and willingness to work as a team player are essential in this role. Primary duties include but are not limited to: Coordination of direct mailings to support the Annual Fund to enhance the branding and marketing message of the organization including composing letter content, designing the “look” of the mailing piece, compiling strategic donor mailing lists to reflect donor giving history, and working closely with Service Directors to develop a campaign that meets the needs of the services while sharing current information with donors.
